The Bridport results are out! Massive congratulations to the winners and all those to be published in the anthology. I look forward to reading it (soon to be available here). Can’t wait to see Kit de Waal’s flash fiction — two wins in two years? That’s something.

This year I made it onto the Bridport shortlist for the second time, which served as a little landmark for me because, thanks to a series of family health issues, it was the first short story I’d written since 2013. In September 2015, I was able to start writing again but felt full of self-doubt — one story in two years, who am I kidding? The Bridport email came at just the right time; I feel like I have my wings again.
